I think that reading habits should definitely be one of the routines that should be devoted to time, even if it is 10 or 20 pages a day. This is why we try to make our libraries a quality living space in which we can spend time, and likewise a part of other places where our people spend time. This is why we started the AVM libraries project. We opened 2 of them in Ankara and 1 in Eskişehir. Today, we are opening the 4th with you. In our library, which will serve in a total area of 252 square meters, 5 thousand works are waiting for book lovers. Hopefully, by the end of 2020, we will increase the number of shopping mall libraries to 8. On the other hand, we continue our negotiations with 25 shopping mall management for the next steps.
Minister Ersoy stated that libraries where exhibitions, seminars, conferences, trainings and workshops are held are doors that open to the areas of interest.
“While we increase the number of this door, we also diversify its position. Airport library, station library and shopping mall libraries are examples of this. However, in the age of technology, we also use digital platforms intensively to reach our children and youth. If a step is taken not by sticking to a single point, but by thinking broadly, the goals will be reached both more easily and more accurately.
