The Symbol of Ordu Historical Pier is Renovated

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality is renovating the larger of the two piers, which are the memory of our city.

The pier, which was located on the coast in Altınordu district and was in danger of collapse, was a danger to the health and safety of the people of the region. Not being insensitive to the subject, the Metropolitan Municipality has rolled up its sleeves to restore the historical pier to the city's memory and the symbol of the city.

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Coşkun Alp said that the pier will be made to look worthy of the city's identity.

Secretary General Alp continued his speech as follows: “We had a historical pier here years ago. People used to come and buy their fish from this pier, which was used as a fish carpet by fishermen. We did not have the condition to leave this pier in the middle of the city in ruins. We had to refresh the city's memory. The need arose to save this pier, which was in danger of collapse, from the dump and to renew it. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we could not remain indifferent to this. We took action to renew the pier. We will rebuild the pier that integrates with our city. We will try to revive the memory of the Army. We will create a beautiful and decent appearance for our city by building a pier worthy of the identity of the city. "Good luck to our city."
