The ANKARAKART system is becoming widespread in Private Public Transport Vehicles (ELV) that provide transportation services to the surrounding districts of Ankara. After the Private Public Buses (ÖHO) serving in Çubuk and Akyurt districts, ANKARAKART started to be used in Private Public Transport Vehicles (ELV) first in two districts as of 11 November 2020.

The application of ANKARAKART, which is used as an electronic fare collection system in public transportation vehicles belonging to EGO in Başkent, is becoming increasingly common throughout the city.

After the Private Public Buses (ÖHO) in Ankara were included in the validator system and started to use ANKARAKART as of September 2019, Private Public Transportation Vehicles (ELT), which provide transportation services to the surrounding districts, started to be included in the electronic fare collection system. In this context, the ANKARAKART period started on 11 November 2020 in ELVs, which were first serving in Çubuk and Akyurt districts.

487-3 ÇUBUK-ANKARA AND 488-3 AKYURT-ANKARA LINE

In the meeting of the General Assembly of the Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) on September 9, it was decided to implement ANKARAKART in 487-3 Çubuk-Ankara and 488-3 Akyurt-Ankara ELVs.

After the preparations, a total of 59 ELVs were included in the electronic fee collection system, 37 in Çubuk and 96 in Akyurt.

EASE OF ACCESS WITH A SINGLE CARD IN FAR DISTRICTS

With the implementation of the application, citizens living in distant districts have the opportunity to travel on Private Public Transport Vehicles under the control of the General Directorate of EGO with a single card.

In addition, the routes of the 487-3 Çubuk-Ankara and 488-3 Akyurt-Ankara buses were combined with the 487 Çubuk-Ulus-Sıhhiye and 488 Akyurt-Ulus-Sıhhiye EGO bus routes and became exactly the same.

In the statement made by the General Directorate of EGO, “In the forthcoming process, it is planned to gradually include all the surrounding district ELVs in the adjacent area of Ankara to the ANKARAKART system and collect fees through a single system. Thus, with a single card, our citizens will be able to benefit from all public transportation vehicles both under and under the control of the EGO General Directorate ”.
