In Kocaeli, which has natural beauties experienced separately for 4 seasons, pre-winter maintenance has been completed on the main road, where the transportation to Kartepe summit, which is one of the first places that come to mind when it comes to winter tourism. Kartepe summit road was overhauled by the Traffic Management Branch Directorate teams of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department.
ROUTING PLATES
As Kartepe summit road has frequent bends, direction signs are of great importance for drivers. The Traffic Management Branch Directorate teams of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department have overhauled all the signs in the relevant parts of the road. Those in need of care were taken care of individually. The unusable plates were changed by the teams. The drivers' job was facilitated with the signs rearranged so that they could be easily seen day and night along the road.
CONTROLS OF SIGNALIZATIONS
As we approach the Kartepe summit, foggy weather prevails, especially in winter. Since visibility gets harder to drive in foggy times, led-illuminated signals take the role of direction signs. Traffic Management Branch Directorate teams checked all the signals on the summit road. The teams, who checked them one by one, maintained the signalizations and replaced the defective ones with new ones.
ROAD LINES RENEWED
With the arrival of the winter season, snowfall is not missing, especially in Kartepe. The importance of the traffic lines on the road increases even more when snowfalls turn white everywhere. For this reason, the specially produced luminous yellow lines of the entire road were renewed.
CAR RAILS REPAIRED
The guardrails, which became unusable due to the accidents on the summit road, were also renewed by the teams. Road safety has been increased with the renewed guardrails. The Traffic Management Branch Directorate of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department stated that the drivers should obey all traffic rules for the safety of both themselves and other citizens on the road to the summit where they carry out all traffic maintenance.
