Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport Receives ACI Pandemic Certificate

Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport has received the certificate issued by the International Airports Council (ACI World) that determines the pandemic measures.

Operated by TAV Airports, Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport met the relevant criteria and received the “Airport Health Accreditation” created by ACI World for safe travel during the pandemic period.

TAV Ege General Manager Erkan Balcı said, “Aviation operates with rules that are strictly regulated all over the world and valid on a global scale. Although the governments are seriously affected by the pandemic due to the closing of their borders, aviation is among the sectors that adapt to the new regulations fastest. Since March, we have fully implemented the measures determined by the authorities to protect the health of our employees and passengers at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. Airport pandemic issued by DGCA airports, in Turkey we receive the certifications measures. We signed the protocol created by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Now we have obtained our certificate by complying with the criteria established by ACI. TAV airports operated by participating in programs in Turkey and abroad. In this context, Ankara Esenboğa and Gazipaşa-Alanya airports were also certified by ACI.

Macedonia Skopje, Tunisia Enfidha and Monastir, Saudi Arabia Medina and Croatia Zagreb airports operated by the company abroad have also completed the accreditation process and received a certificate.

Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport served 10 million 4 thousand passengers in the first 768 months of this year.
