Historic Decision from UKOME! D-100 Highway Closed for Intercity Passenger Transport

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality UKOME meeting was held in Kocaeli Congress Center. During the meeting, the D-100 highway was closed to intercity passenger transportation. A historic decision was made at the UKOME meeting held under the Presidency of Kocaeli Metropolitan General Secretary Balamir Gündoğdu. After long negotiations, the D-100 highway was closed to intercity passenger transportation. After the decision, no company will be able to use the D-100 highway for intercity passenger transportation.

IN TERMS OF TRAFFIC SAFETY

At the meeting, reports requested from two universities on the subject were read. The reports received from Yalova University in terms of traffic safety and from Istanbul University in terms of legal aspects were read to the commission members. Following the reading of the reports, it was unanimously accepted that vehicles carrying out intercity passenger transportation should not use the D / 100 Highway in terms of traffic safety.
