Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which determines the future vision of Bursa as tourism and prepares projects that will highlight all the natural values ​​of the city such as Uludağ, coast, lakes, waterfalls and longoz, has also accelerated eco-tourism investments in mountain districts Orhaneli, Keles, Harmancık and Büyükorhan. . The Metropolitan Municipality, which previously provided a 900 square meter conference hall building, 3 35 square meters and 3 45 square meters 2-storey bungalow wooden houses, 1 laundry room and 1 public toilet to the Harmancık Municipality Eco Tourism Social Facilities, has carried out a similar project in Orhaneli. also brings it to life. Within the scope of the project prepared to bring Orhaneli to tourism, a 3-storey restaurant, a 2-storey country house, 32 bristle tents of 10 square meters, and 45 prefabricated buildings of 5 square meters will be built in the Karagöz Picnic Area. Within the scope of the project, which will offer citizens a holiday opportunity in an environment intertwined with nature, the Karagöz Picnic Area will become a complete attraction center with the environmental arrangements. While the project begins to take shape with the rapidly continuing manufacturing, the works are aimed to be completed in the first quarter of next year.

Nature tourism stands out

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, who stated that the promotional activities carried out in the national and international arena to increase the share of Bursa in tourism have been somewhat secluded due to the pandemic process, but reminded that the pandemic creates new opportunities, especially in terms of nature tourism. Stating that the pandemic has caused some changes in the tourism habits of people as in all areas of life, Mayor Aktaş said, “In this process, we see that people started to prefer quieter areas that are intertwined with nature instead of holiday in crowded hotel environments as they used to be. This is a great opportunity especially for our mountain districts. We want to make the most of this opportunity with our eco-tourism investments. Just as there is a great interest in the facilities in Harmancık, I believe this region will become a center of attraction when Orhaneli facilities are completed.
