In the 25th hearing of the train disaster in Tekirdağ Çorlu, in which 6 people lost their lives, a decision was made to postpone the case. Making a statement after the hearing, Oğuz Arda Sel's mother Mısra Öz said, "We demanded the trial of TCDD top management and Ministry of Transport officials."
The 25th hearing regarding the train disaster in which 6 people died in Tekirdağ Çorlu was held today. The hearing has been postponed to 16 March 2021. Mısra Öz, who lost her son Oğuz Arda Sel in the accident, made statements after the hearing.
"THIS CASE SHOULD NOT GO WITH 4 PEOPLE"
Mısra Öz stated that they once again demanded the involvement of TCDD top management and Ministry of Transport officials in the case. Öz spoke as follows:
* Although both our demands and the demands of our lawyers are the only thing pointed out, the prosecution of the state railways senior management, İsa Apaydıntrial of İsa ApaydınAli İhsan Uygun, who was the deputy general manager and is now the general manager, was brought before the court as a defendant, everyone from Binali Yıldırım to Ahmet Arslan in the Ministry of Transport had a responsibility for these massacres. We demanded again that the case should not be carried out with these 4 people.
"THE COURT'S DUTY IS TO JUDGE THE REAL RESPONSIBLE"
At the end of two and a half years, we did not see anybody, and from now on, the great responsibility is now at the discretion of the delegation in these hearings, which were carried out without seriousness. What they have to do is bring here the real responsible who are their duties.
If we are faced with a delegation that cannot bring the general manager, deputy general manager, and the ministry of transport here, our belief that there is a fair executive system will completely disappear after this hour.
"ÇORLU'S ACCOUNT WILL BE ASKED"
Before the trial, families who lost their relatives in the Çorlu train disaster organized a march. Painful families shouted "Çorlu's account will be asked". (Source: SÖZCÜ)
