Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, attended the opening ceremony of the 1st Stage of Hayrabolu-Tekirdağ Road. Reminding that they have invested approximately 18 Billion 6 Million Lira in Tekirdağ's transportation and communication infrastructure in 862 years, Karaismailoğlu said, “The total cost of the 1-kilometer section between Hayrabolu-Kandamış, the 13st stage of Hayrabolu Tekirdağ Road, is 166 million TL”.

The project includes 19 intersections, 4 bridges and 1 overpass, 5 underpasses and 116 hydraulic art structures. The total cost of this 13-kilometer section is 166 million Turkish Liras ”.

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that with the completion of the project, the access of Tekirdağ Port and industrial zones in the region to Kapıkule will be easier and said, “The trade volume in the region will increase and Tekirdağ province will gain socio-economic gains. Safer transportation will be provided for road users. Travel time in the region will be shortened, and the exhaust emissions of vehicles will decrease. In addition, it will contribute to the national economy by saving from maintenance and operating expenses and by reducing fuel and depreciation expenses ”.

With the Malkara-Çanakkale Motorway and 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, a new alternative to the Bosphorus Crossing will be created for the road traffic that will turn to the west of the Aegean and Central Anatolia, Adana-Konya axis and the Western Mediterranean Regions over Europe and Thrace. "
