Mayor Soyer was accompanied by his wife, Neptün Soyer, as well as Seferihisar Mayor İsmail Adult and municipal officials. Mayor Soyer, who examined the houses, workplaces and marina in the Kaleiçi region of Sığacık, which was damaged by the overflow of sea water after the earthquake, gave the message "We are with you" to the citizens.

Making a statement after his examinations, President Soyer said, “Previously, there were big earthquakes in Seferihisar. People remained in the streets. We tried to heal the wounds of earthquakes outside for weeks. We learned a lot from all this. After that day, we worked together to organize the building stock, new licenses and new constructions in Seferihisar. Fortunately, although the center of this great earthquake was Seferihisar, there were no major casualties and destructions. We find solace with this. Therefore, in a way we are happy, ”he said.

"We will heal the wounds hand in hand"

Reminding that there was a tsunami after the earthquake, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer said, “We only saw the disease called tsunami in movies. Turns out we had a future. So we are very sorry. Our citizens have suffered greatly. Our citizens of Sığacık are making their bread with hand work and sweat. kazanAt that time, people suffered a great deal. So we are very sorry. But together we will heal the wounds. We are happy that nothing happened to the lives of our citizens. There is compensation for all of these. We, as Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, stand by Seferihisar Municipality until the end. We will be with our citizens until the end. We will bandage the wounds together," he said.
