60 to be completed in months
Metropolitan, which provided 100 percent agreement for the first stage urban transformation work in Ege Mahallesi, took over the title deeds of the beneficiaries in the project area. Within the scope of the first stage tender, three buildings, one of which is a commercial, office and residential block, and the other two are only residential blocks, will be built in a construction area of approximately 60 thousand square meters in 120 months. The contractor firm will complete the construction on turnkey basis by preparing the application projects of the infrastructure, superstructure and landscaping productions in the field. The entire transformation will be carried out in the 7-hectare area in the new city center, with Meles Stream to the east, İZBAN railway line and Kahramanlar Neighborhood to the west, and Liman Arkası to the north, bordered by industrial areas that have lost their function today. The contractor firm will also prepare all infrastructure application projects such as road, rainwater, sewage, drinking water, electricity, natural gas, and communications belonging to the 7-hectare Ege District Urban Transformation and Development Area.
Reconciliation talks continue for other stages
Listening to the wishes of the citizens living in the region in the Aegean District, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality shared the new living spaces that it designed considering the current social, cultural and economic situation. The Metropolitan Municipality is still continuing the negotiations for the other stages of the project.
