Public transport trips increased by 8,3 percent per month and weekend trips by 22 percent. While buses were the most preferred, an increase occurred in all passenger categories. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Statistics Office published the November issue of the Istanbul Transportation Bulletin, which includes October public transport data. Changes in public transportation were reflected in the figures as follows:

The peak time of vehicle activity on weekdays was 13.00 to 15.00 and the busiest time was 08.00. The peak hours of the traffic on weekdays and weekends were measured as 13.00 and 15.00.

Most collar passes on October 2

The daily average number of vehicles crossing the collar on weekdays was recorded as 479 thousand 786. The busiest day of the collar transition was Friday, October 509 with 444 thousand 2 vehicles. 39,2 percent of the vehicles passed through the 15 July, 45,6 percent FSM, 6,3 percent YSS and 8,9 percent Eurasia Tunnel.

Weekday average speed on the routes remained the same as in September, measured at 59,5 km / h. While the average speed during the week did not change compared to September, the weekend average was 0,9 km / h with a decline of 62,2 percent.

The time in traffic has decreased

The average daily time in traffic on the road network on weekdays decreased by only 0,9 percent compared to September. While the time spent at the morning peak hour decreased by 3,3 percent, it increased by 1,9 percent at the evening peak hour.

In the Bulletin, which was prepared using the data of the Public Transportation Services Directorate, BELBİM and İBB Transportation Management Center, speed and duration studies were carried out by using the sensors on the main routes.
