Adil Karaismailoğlu, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, attended the General Directorate of Highways, Road Maintenance Machinery Commissioning Ceremony. Karaismailoğlu stated that 391 machines and equipment that will be put into service today will undertake a vital task especially for cities where winter conditions are intense and said, “82,3% of the purchased machines and equipment are domestic production”.

Turkey's past difficulties and challenges experienced by the Minister reminded Karaismailoğlu, "shuts down when pressed by snow winter roads, villages cut off relations with the world, children can not go to school for months; I thought of patients trying to go to the doctor with sleds to the hospital, mothers and babies who lost their lives by freezing on their way to birth. Fortunately, it was all in the past, before 2002. Now, we are building roads that comply with international standards, are comfortable and provide life and property safety ”. Emphasizing that 180 percent of the 82,3 million TL part of the purchased machinery and equipment is domestic production, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “With these purchases, the renewal value of the machine park was realized as approximately 5 billion 486 million Turkish Liras. With these recent purchases, our institution has become able to provide service with a total of 4 thousand 751 machines and equipment, 13 thousand 226 of which are movable machines ”.

"We are ready for harsh winter conditions with our machinery and equipment"

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that 391 machines and equipment, which were taken into the KGM machine park this year and will be put into service today, will undertake a vital task especially for cities where winter conditions are intense, “In Kars, Ağrı, Trabzon, Erzurum, in short, on one side, they will keep our roads open in the middle of the black winter. They will ensure our life and property safety. They will be the hope of the children who go to school, the worker who goes to his factory, the farmer who takes his product to the market, the elderly and the patients. How happy is it to us; "By sending these vehicles to our regions in need today, we are meeting the need of our highways teams for a snow-fighting vehicle before the winter comes to rest," he said.

Minister Karaismailoğlu, after the ribbon cutting ceremony, made observations on the vehicle track with General Director of Highways Abdulkadir Uraloğlu. Later, Karaismailoğlu, who used the snow plow, changed the tire of the vehicle.
