Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality opened the road to the service of citizens by laying a total of 10 tons of asphalt, 4 centimeters thick, on Rıha Street in Kayapınar district.

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality continues to implement important projects to provide more comfortable and uninterrupted transportation within the city. The Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its works on new zoning roads throughout the city, has completed hot asphalt works in Kayapınar District Rıha Street. 15 thousand cubic meters of excavation and 21 thousand cubic meters of filling were carried out by the Directorate of Road Construction Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department, after the renovation works of the rain water and sewerage networks by the DİSKİ General Directorate teams on the road, which was previously a parquet and the development corridor was not fully opened. After the road infrastructure was completed, the Road Construction Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department laid 18 thousand tons of sub-base and basic materials and 4 tons of hot asphalt.

Road lines are completed, medians and pavements will be renewed

The Road Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department started the median and pavement works on Rıha Street, where the Department of Transportation completed road line studies to ensure safe vehicle and pedestrian traffic. While 3 thousand 400 meters of border work has been carried out on the medians and sidewalks until now, the Park Garden and Green Areas Department will provide a more aesthetic appearance to the street by planting afforestation on the sidewalks and flowers on the median.

While the Metropolitan Municipality completes the asphalt works that it started on October 17 in Rıha Street, it will complete the median and pavement works in December and make the street ready for pedestrian and traffic use.
