Ankara Metropolitan Municipality EGO General Directorate initiated a tamping work in ANKARAY Plant to provide more comfortable and safe transportation for passengers. The burage operation, which provides a more smooth and safe transportation for passengers by correcting the train line with millimetric measurements, will be applied for a month between 23.50-06.00.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality EGO General Directorate, which continues its regular maintenance works in vehicles, train lines and stations in order to provide a safer and more comfortable transportation service to its passengers, has started the burage work that will bring the train-rail contact to the ideal shape in ANKARAY Plant.
It is planned that the burage application, which provides a more smooth, quiet and safe transportation opportunity for the passengers, will be completed within 1 month.
MILLIMETRIC MEASUREMENT IN RAILS
ANKARAY Plant will apply the burage operation, which is one of the important heavy maintenance activities, every night for a month between 23.50-06.00 after the expeditions.
With the tamping work, corrections will be made with millimetric measurements to bring the contact between the train and the rails in the most ideal form on the 17-kilometer ANKARAY line. EGO General Directorate ANKARAY Plant Branch Manager Onur Özcan gave the following information about the process that minimizes maintenance activities on the line:
“As ANKARAY Enterprise, we started the tamping work in order to provide a safer and more comfortable service to our passengers. This study is the process of correcting the line by taking millimetric measurements to bring the contact between the train wheels and rails to the optimum level. Since the tamping machine was brought from Ankara Metro to ANKARAY Plant, it did not bring any extra cost to our institution. "
