Speaking about the Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train project, which has not been completed for 12 years, CHP Sivas Deputy Ulaş Karasu said, “The first railway project of the Republic, the Ankara-Sivas Railway Project, was completed in five years with the technology of that period. We are at the end of the 12th year of YHT, we still haven't been able to put it into service. ''

CHP Party Assembly Member and Sivas Deputy Ulaş Karasu brought up the Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train project, which has been under construction for 12 years, in the budget negotiations of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

In his speech at the Plan Budget Commission, Karasu stated that the Ankara-Sivas YHT project turned into a snake story and that the line, whose foundation was laid in 2008, is still not completed, and said, `` Ankara-Sivas Railway Project, the first railway project of the Republic, was completed in five years with the technology of that period. We are at the end of the 12th year of YHT, we still haven't been able to put it into service. ''

Recalling the promise made by President Tayyip Erdoğan at the Sivas rally, Karasu said, `` Erdoğan stated that the high-speed train line in Sivas, where he came before the March 31 local elections, will be opened in 2019 Ramadan Feast. Now 2020 is about to end and a month and a half remain. It looks like it will not open this year either. ''

Uncertain Cost

Saying that the cost of the line is also uncertain, Karasu said that there are 3 different costs for the project, but they do not know which one is real.``I looked at the budget program of the ministry on how much this line costs, there is no pricing. In the social media promotional video published by the State Railways, you stated that the total investment cost of the project was 9 billion 749 million TL. Different statements come from AKP deputies on this issue. A member of the parliament stated that it would cost 13 billion TL in February, this figure increased to 16 billion in August. What is the real cost of this project, we are curious about it. ''

8 Times Immigration: The Ministry Should Take Action

Referring to the collapses in the construction of the railway line, Karasu said that there were 8 dents in Esmebaşı Tunnel in total. Noting that the last dent in the Esmebaşı Tunnel took place on March 3, Karasu stated that a tender was opened for the removal of the dent in question and 76 million liras were paid and said, “The costs of the dent are also on the back of the nation. Studies on this collapse show that there are serious problems in the ground survey of this high-speed train project, serious ground studies have not been done. Otherwise, there will be no dent 8 times to open a tunnel. I invite the ministry to take action regarding this, '' he said. (Source: Cumhuriyet)
