"Implementation Communiqué on Biological and / or Biotechnical Struggle Support Payment in Crop Production" was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry recommends and encourages alternative methods to chemical control in order to reduce the use of pesticides in the fight against harmful organisms in plant production, prevent residues and ensure sustainable production by protecting the ecosystem.
In this context, 400 TL per decare for biological control and 120 TL for biotechnical control in the production of tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers and zucchini under cover, 520 TL will be paid to the producers who apply both. In the open field, support of 130 lira per decare will be paid for citrus fruits, tomatoes, vineyards, apples, apricots, olives, pomegranates, quince, pear, peach and nectar.
Producers who want to benefit from the supports will be able to apply until December 4 for citrus fruits, tomatoes, apples, vineyards, olives, apricots, pomegranates, quince, pears, peaches and nectarines in the open area, and 31 December 2020 under cover.
9 MILLION LIRA SUPPORT IS PROVIDED TO THE BIOLOGICAL AND BIOTECHNICAL FIGHT IN THE LAST 97,2 YEARS
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry made a support payment of 9 million 62 thousand TL to 94 thousand 97 producers in the last 221 years within the scope of biological and biotechnical control.
