Eskişehir Industry was connected to the ports with the realization of the "Green Road" Project. The signing ceremony of the "Green Road" Project, which will connect Eskişehir Industry to the world, was held in Eskişehir Chamber of Industry on 19 October. The signing ceremony of the "Green Road" Project, which will connect Eskişehir Industry to the world, was held on October 19 at Eskişehir Chamber of Industry. Thanks to the project, while transportation costs are reduced by XNUMX percent, it is aimed to reduce carbon emissions by XNUMX percent.

Under the leadership of TCDD Tasimacilik and Eskisehir Chamber of Industry, the industrial products produced in Eskisehir will be transported to Hasanbey Logistics Center by trucks belonging to Arkas Logistics, and will be transported to the ports in Izmit Bay via railway within the scope of the project realized in cooperation with ESO ABIGEM and Arkas Logistics. In this way, Eskişehir industry will open up to the world through ports.

A signing ceremony was held in Eskişehir Chamber of Industry after the first 23 wagons of the project to be shipped to China were delivered at Hasanbey Logistics Center.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Erol Ayyıldız stated that he was very pleased with the project in terms of opening up Eskişehir and its region to the world in accordance with ecology.

"It will be reached from Eskişehir to China"

Hasanbey Logistics Center situated on an area of ​​540 thousand square meters, Turkey's largest logistics centers, underlining that one of the TCDD General Director of Transport Kamuran Printer "Hasanbey Logistics Center, has an annual capacity of half a million tonnes of cargo. Thanks to our logistics center, which we could not use its capacity sufficiently until today, Eskişehir will be connected to all ports with railway connections. Regular train services will be organized between Hasanbey Logistics Center and İzmit Bay ports, and transportation services will be provided to Eskişehir and regional industrialists. In addition, railway transportation will be started on the BTK Railway line, so containers loaded from Eskişehir will be able to reach the Middle East, Asia and China by train without a second handling, ”he said.

"100 thousand containers will be transported to ports annually"

Stating that Eskişehir industry transports 100 containers annually, half of this transportation will be carried out by rail and half by sea in the first stage, Yazıcı said, “In the following years, Eskişehir is expected to be transported to ports by rail with 100 containers per year with increasing export potential”. Stating that industrialists will also provide tariff advantages for domestic and international transports via the Hasanbey Logistics Center, Yazıcı continued his words as follows: “Our first container train, which we saw off from Eskişehir today, set off for Derinc to go to China with 23 wagons of white goods. "May the way be clear" he said.

Stating that regular train services will be carried out between Hasanbey Logistics Center and İzmit Bay ports, Yazıcı will provide environmentally friendly, regular, fast, economical and planned container transportation services to Eskişehir and regional industrialists.

In this way, containers loaded with exported goods will be transported to the whole world, especially to Europe, by a combination of trains and ships through the ports located in the Gulf of Izmit.

To provide timely and uninterrupted containers to our industrialists, a container park will be established at the Hasanbey Logistics Center and a kind of dry port will also be served.

Likewise, the import containers will be brought to Hasanbey Logistics Center from the ports by block container trains and distributed to the factories from there ”.
