According to the first estimations, 60 people died and 18 were injured as a result of the train colliding with a bus with 30 people at a level crossing in Thailand.

At a level crossing in the Chacheongsao district, about 80 kilometers from the capital Bangkok, the train hit a tour bus with 60 passengers. The accident was reported when bus passengers went to a temple in Chachoengsao state to celebrate the end of Buddhist Lent.

"It was raining, probably the driver didn't see the train," Prathueng Yookassem, regional manager, told PBS television in Thailand. said.

Stating that at least 18 people died and 30 were injured in the accident, Prathueng noted that the injured were taken to hospitals.

The police launched a thorough investigation into the accident.
