21 October 1897 Indian Muslim journalist Muhammed Inshallah became aware of the UK Railway Project. The Indian journalist brought the idea of the Damascus-Madinah-Mecca Railway to be carried out by the Ottoman State and financed by all Muslims in Islamic newspapers, and spread the idea of the Hejaz Railway to the public.
