IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluStating that the extended collective bargaining agreement process will be terminated as soon as possible due to the pandemic process and union authority uncertainty, he said, “During this period, no IMM employee will be victimized in terms of wages. In the near future, we will determine an advance increase in the wages of our colleagues that will provide economic improvement.”

A letter of authorization for the conclusion of a collective agreement concerning 14 thousand 106 employees in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and IETT and İSPARK AŞ, İSTON AŞ, İSFALT AŞ, İSBAK AŞ and KÜLTÜR AŞ; It was given to Hizmet-İş union affiliated with Hak-İş Confederation by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services.

IMM made its objection to this decision, which was made by ignoring the right of employees and other unions to organize, contrary to all legal and industrial relations jurisprudence, within the framework of the specified objection period and form. The legal process regarding the said objection is being followed.

However, it is expected that the collective bargaining agreement negotiations with other IMM affiliates, which have been delayed for a while due to the pandemic and have been continuing since August, will be completed with an agreement very soon.

İmamoğlu said, “During this period, no IMM employee will be victimized regarding wages. "We will determine an advance increase rate that will not put our staff in an economically difficult situation, taking into account the conditions in the collective agreements agreed, so that our colleagues do not suffer any victimization."

Emphasizing that they will always be with their employees as IMM Administration, İmamoğlu said, "We will continue to make Istanbul a much fairer, greener and much more creative city by strictly adhering to fair, transparent and sustainable management principles."
