Edirnekapı Metrobus Stop Will Be Closed In Two Weekends

IMM continues its renovation and expansion works at Edirnekapı station of the metrobus line. Within the scope of the work, the direction of Beylikdüzü this weekend and the direction of Söğütlüçeşme this weekend will be closed due to the works.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) is renovating and expanding its stations in order to reduce the passenger density on the metrobus line with 44 stations and carrying nearly 1 million passengers per day, and to provide disabled access.

In this context, the expansion work started at Edirnekapı Station in July continues. The station will be closed one-way towards Beylikdüzü at midnight, connecting Friday, October 9 to Saturday, October 10, in order to make barriers and floor concrete production. The works will be completed on the weekend and will be completed at 12:05 on Monday, October 00, and the line will be opened for two-way use.

Likewise, the Söğütlüçeşme direction will be closed to passengers on the next weekend, Friday night, October 16th. These works will be completed on the weekend and the station will be opened to use both ways on Monday, October 19 at 05:00.

Passengers will not be able to get in or out on the first weekend, as the gates are on the opposite side of the station in the direction of Beylikdüzü. Passengers will be able to get on and off from the previous or next station. Since the direction of Söğütlüçeşme will be closed this time on the next weekend, Istanbulites who want to go in this direction will be able to land or board from the previous or next station.

In order not to adversely affect the traffic on the Metrobus line on both weekends, IETT field supervisors and other IMM officials will check the passes.
