When Will Face-to-Face Training Begin in Grades 5 and 9?

Within the scope of coronavirus measures, gradual transitions to face-to-face education continue. In the 2020-2021 academic year, the Ministry of National Education, which started face-to-face education in pre-school and 1st grades in addition to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 8th and 12th grades, will start on Monday, November 2, in the 5th and 9th grades. shared the details of the training program with the letter he sent to 81.

According to this; 5 lesson hours (2 days, 12 + 2) in total, 6 days a week in public and private secondary schools, and 6 lesson hours (2 days, 14 + 2) in imam hatip secondary schools 7 days a week.

In the 9th grades of high school, a total of 2 lessons (16 days, 2 + 8) will be held 8 days a week.

Classes will be divided into groups according to social distance in line with the student size, each lesson time will be 30 minutes, and the rest time between lessons will be 10 minutes.

Turkish, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge courses in 5th grades of secondary school; Imam Hatip Middle School will teach Turkish, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge, the Quran and Arabic lessons through face-to-face education.

Since the 9th grade students are responsible for all the common, elective and vocational courses shown in the weekly course schedules, the courses determined by the school administration must be completed by face-to-face education, and the remaining courses through distance education.

All courses other than face-to-face education will be completed through distance education, and measures will be taken by school administrations to support students through distance education.

Written consent of the parent who does not want to send their children to school for face-to-face education will be obtained and students who do not come to school will not be considered absent, but students who are not sent to the school by their parents will continue their lessons with distance education. Students will be responsible for the curriculum of the class they attend and will participate in assessment and evaluation of all subjects and achievements.
