The Metropolitan Municipality, which realizes versatile projects for transportation and provides comfortable transportation services with 'environmentally friendly' natural gas buses, is preparing to strengthen its fleet. In this context, 109 new generation buses with different capacities and features will be purchased.
APPLICATIONS VIA EKAP
For the purchase of 109 buses, a tender will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020, according to the 4734th article of the 19 Public Procurement Law. Bids for the tender will only be received electronically through EKAP.
100 NATURAL GAS BUS
In the tender to be opened by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department, 100 CNG (Natural Gas) fueled, low-floor solo and articulated type public transport buses, 70 solo type (at least 12 meters) with a capacity of at least 80 passengers, 1 disabled passenger, 30 Bellows type buses (at least 18 meters) with a capacity of at least 135 passengers and 2 disabled passengers will be purchased. The 100 buses to be purchased will be used on the existing lines operating throughout Kocaeli and the line 41 Körfez-Kartepe Express lines, which are planned to be opened.
9 DIESEL BUSES
In the same tender, 7 diesel-fueled 12-meter long-distance buses and 2 diesel-fueled 7,7-10-meter long-distance buses will be purchased. Diesel buses will be used on Line 250 "Bus Station-Izmit-Derince-Körfez-Dilovası-Sabiha Gökçen Airport" and Line 250G "Gebze - Sabiha Gökçen Airport" route.
