Ankara Metropolitan Municipality's fight against the coronavirus epidemic continues to increase. Tradesmen of the transportation sector show great interest in the free transparent cabin application initiated by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, following the decision of the Ankara Governorship Provincial General Hygiene Board to implement a protective cabin in public transportation vehicles and taxis. Following the Ankara Service Chamber, a free transparent cabin is attached to C plate service vehicles affiliated to the Ankara Chamber of Commerce.
With the call of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, interest in the free transparent cabin application, which was initiated to protect the health of tradesmen and citizens, is gradually increasing.
The transparent cabin application, which was initiated in taxis, minibuses and private public buses serving throughout the city, was also implemented free of charge in C-plate service vehicles.
CABINET TRANSPARENT TO SERVICE VEHICLES USED BY STUDENTS AND EMPLOYEES
A transparent cabin is attached to C plate service vehicles affiliated to the Ankara Chamber of Commerce after the Ankara Service Chamber.
Stating that a transparent cabin will be attached to 2 service vehicles in the first stage, Mustafa Koç, Head of the Metropolitan Municipality Police Department, said that the cabins produced in the workshop established in the Etlik Old Garage will be applied to the service vehicles that request.
Pointing out that the tradesmen serving in the transportation sector showed great interest in the practice, which is important for the health of both drivers and citizens, Koç gave the following information:
“Due to the fact that the Provincial General Hygiene Board requires driver protective cabins in public transportation vehicles, we have made these transparent cabins for all taxis, minibuses, private public buses, private transportation vehicles and EGO buses upon the call of our dear President Mansur Yavaş. We are about to complete the assembly of 500 vehicles affiliated to the Ankara Service Chamber. We received a thousand requests from 3 thousand vehicles affiliated to Ankara Chamber of Commerce. We also started their construction. Mansur Yavaş municipality is on the field with all his team to protect our people, Ankara residents against coronavirus. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we are trying to do our part so that our students can go to school safely and our citizens can go to work safely. "

Expressing that they had a hard time financially during the pandemic process, Ankara Chamber of Commerce 52nd Committee Service Vehicles and Urban Fleet Leasing Council Member Ünsal Akkuş emphasized that the support of President Yavaş is important for them and said, “For 7-7,5 months, our servant friends have the sector that suffered. "We would like to thank our Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş and his team for applying these transparent cabins to our vehicles, considering the health of both drivers, students and our citizens who go to work."
It is planned to complete the works for the installation of a transparent cabin on the service vehicles in a week in line with the demand.
