Ertuğrul Yıldırım, Deputy Secretary General of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, discussed the last steps of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality's project of transporting solid wastes by rail with a visit to the Regional Directorate of State Railways.
Ertuğrul Yıldırım, Deputy Secretary General of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, paid a visit to TCDD Regional Directorate. Yıldırım visited TCDD 3rd Regional Deputy Director Ergün Yurtçu in his office and evaluated the latest situation of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality in the project of transporting domestic solid wastes by train. Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, which put an end to the 40-year waste problem of the city with Uzunburun Solid Waste Disposal and Regular Storage Facility, will give another support to the environment with the project of transporting solid wastes by train.
Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Ertuğrul Yıldırım exchanged views with TCDD 3rd Regional Deputy Director Ergün Yurtçu about the last details of the project. Yıldırım stated that with the project to be implemented, it is aimed to reduce the wear of vehicles, fuel cost, depreciation and maintenance costs, and that it is aimed to reduce carbon emissions as an environmentally friendly municipality, and that the works are continuing for a better Manisa. Yıldırım also conveyed the greetings of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün to Yurtçu.
