Vestel of Turkey's leading technology manufacturers have started production of its first domestic electric bicycle battery. The batteries, whose hardware, software, mechanical designs and production and test infrastructure are completely produced by Vestel engineers, provide advantages with their reliability, long-lasting use and online service.
Electric bicycles continue to be the choice of consumers, with the increase in demand due to the traffic problem in metropolitan areas and the increase in the awareness of healthy living. The interest in electric bicycles, which has reached a significant market size in Europe, is increasing day by day in Turkey. However, the high cost, short life and safety risks of the batteries create obstacles for users. The domestically designed and manufactured batteries designed and manufactured by Vestel, one of Turkey's leading technology companies, and showcased for the first time at IFA last year, will provide bicycle manufacturers with great advantages in terms of quality, cost, delivery times and after-sales services. Vestel, which received its first order from Salcano, aims to produce batteries for all domestic bicycle manufacturers and the world.

We started the production of our bicycle batteries with Vestel design and equipment, which we introduced last year. By making our bicycle batteries available to bicycle manufacturers and e-bike system manufacturers, we have broken new ground in the sector.”
Fast charging and high security
Batteries adapted to electric bicycles based on automotive have achieved EN50604-1 safety certificates and are appreciated by customers for their features and design. These batteries manufactured by Vestel use NCA cells with high energy density. The system, which enables online service with a battery-mobile phone connection via Bluetooth, also enables the user to follow the status of the battery with the application. The batteries designed by Vestel engineers successfully pass the shock, impact and crush tests required by the EN66-50604 approval with their waterproof design at IP1 level and beat other products.
