İzmir Metropolitan Municipality initiated a comprehensive improvement work for Havra Street, one of the most important shopping venues of the city, with its historical texture and vibrant structure. Within the scope of the works to be completed by the end of the year, the infrastructure of Havra Street will be completely renewed.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is implementing one of the projects it carries out to revive the historical axis between Konak and Kadifekale. Arrangement studies have begun on Havra Street, which is the closest connection point between the Agora Excavation Site and the synagogue structures, and also one of the oldest and most important commercial axes of the region. Priority was given to infrastructure within the scope of the works to be carried out to reveal the unique atmosphere of Havra Street. IZSU General Directorate started manufacturing in Havra Street to renew the canal infrastructure working in an integrated way. Manufacturing works starting from Anafartalar Street will continue until the end of Havra Street. Channel and rain water lines will be separated in the 136-meter section, preventing problems in precipitation. Then, drinking water networks, energy, communication and lighting lines will be renewed. After the completion of the infrastructure works, the deteriorated ground on Havra Street will be renewed by using Bergama granite and basalt by the Department of Science. Work on the superstructure will also be completed by the end of the year. Thus, one of the most important areas of the city, with its historical texture and unique structure, will be raised. Manufacturing works are carried out between 22.00 and 05.00 hours, when commercial activities end.
