Galata Tower, which the Ministry of Culture and Tourism brought together with its visitors after the restoration works, will host two different events during the Republic Day.

The "October 97 Grand Republic Concert" and mapping shows to be held within the scope of the 29th anniversary celebrations of the Republic in Patara Ancient City, the unique cultural heritage of Anatolia, can be watched live from the historical Galata Tower.

The celebration program, organized jointly by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Directorate of Communications, will start with the Turkish National Anthem at 19.23.

The world's oldest democratic parliament building housing the surviving from antiquity to the present day spectacular concert at the ancient city of Patara, Turkey's republic contemporary art institution will give the Presidential Symphony Orchestra.

The "October 29 Grand Republic Concert" will be held in the ancient theater and the mapping show will be held in the Patara Assembly Building, the symbol of democracy in the world.

National Struggle Exhibition with Little-Known Photographs

Another event to be held in the Galata Tower, which is one of the important historical places of Istanbul, due to the 97th anniversary of the Republic, will be the "National Struggle Exhibition with Little-Known Photographs".

The exhibition, in which the National Struggle is tried to be depicted with images, will consist of a special selection of photographs that depict a difficult path from the struggles rare in history to the declaration of the Republic with the War of Independence.

The exhibition will try to reflect the military and political aspects of the national struggle and the daily life under occupation.

Some of the photographs in the exhibition, where 39 photographs will be presented to the visitors on its panels, will be published for the first time and are printed on glass negative.

Eight of the photographs presented are from the archives of the Turkish Historical Society, and the rest are from the archives of the Republic Museum.

The exhibition of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism at the Galata Tower will be open to visitors from October 29 to November 9.
