Giving information about the construction of Yusufeli Dam relocation roads, Karaismailoğlu said, “In this project, we are building 55 tunnels with a length of 800 thousand 56 meters, approximately 40 kilometers, with the aim of preserving the unique natural beauty of Artvin. The new project includes 1.761 bridges with a length of 17 meters and an open excavation of 8.639 meters. We have completed the 55-meter part of the 800-meter tunnel, almost all of the tunnel excavation and supporting works. We have completed the tunnel final coating on the 55 thousand 500 meter part, that is 35 percent. We have also made very important strides in bridge manufacturing and finished at 715 percent. In addition, we completed the superstructure of the 64-meter road as a bituminous hot mixture coating. We aim to complete the entire project in 83. When our project is completed, the Yusufeli-Artvin-Erzurum road will be much safer, with 6 tunnels opened, it will no longer be affected by heavy winter conditions and our route will always remain open ”.

Lastly, Minister Karaismailoğlu gave information about the construction of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and said, “It is the world's largest and widest span bridge with steel legs in terms of its middle span. These are very proud projects. This project is a 106-kilometer project starting from Malkara and reaching Çanakkale. Hopefully, we look forward to opening this place in 2022, ”he said.
