The cities participating in the U20 included Barcelona, ​​Berlin, Buenos Aires, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Montreal, Osaka, Paris, Seoul and Tokyo, as well as Izmir and Istanbul.

U20 Statement; It calls on the G20 to invest and collaborate with the U20 to support sustainable urbanization in the coming years. The statement calls on the G20 to make a commitment and take urgent action on the climate crisis. U20 President HE Fahd Al-Rasheed said: “It is a great chance and opportunity for us to determine the role cities will play in the next phase of our civilization”.

Cities; Commitments, questions posed, and proposed policies to world leaders through the U19 Statement will play an important role in revitalizing and designing urban areas as we strive to sustainably and somehow restore life disrupted by the coronavirus (COVID-20) pandemic.

According to the declaration; 68% of the world's population will live in cities by 2050. Therefore, the 20-point Statement of U27; He emphasizes that it is a very important obligation for G20 member countries to “invest directly in cities that are centers of development”.

The declaration also sent to G20 countries; He called for action "immediately on the climate crisis" by making a commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 2030% of the global reduction required by 50.
