The space watch ship Yuanwang-5 departed from the East China province of Jiangsu on Thursday, September 24. The ship will perform a mission to watch space from the sea in the Pacific Ocean. This is the third voyage of the same ship this year. During this expedition, he will spend 100 days at sea and return to land at the beginning of 2021.

Yuanwang-5 spent 2020 days at sea in 143. During this time, it provided support for China's first Mars satellite and APSTAR-6D telecommunications satellite by performing sea monitoring duty. The crew of the ship was ready for new missions after returning to port on 10 August and had the opportunity to rest and make the necessary repairs and arrangements on board.
