Marmara Municipalities Union and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Assoc. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın shared the excitement of young people in the Robotaxi Passenger Autonomous Vehicle Competition within the scope of TEKNOFEST, which was held with the participation of Industry and Technology President Mustafa Varank.

Making a statement about the autonomous vehicles that will change our future, realized with the support of Informatics Valley, TÜBİTAK and HAVELSAN, Mayor Büyükakın said, “We shared the excitement of our young people regarding the development of technology autonomous vehicles of our future in original design, software and other fields. The fact that these kinds of competitions are in our city and our young people's interest in this field make us very happy. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we will continue to contribute to our youth in this field ”.

The Robotaks held in IT Valley in passenger Autonomous Vehicle Competition Kocaeli Governor Great Wall Yavuz, the AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Mehmet fifty-five, Teknofest Executive Board Chairman Mehmet Fatih Kacar, Gebze Mayor Zinner Büyükgöz Turkey and Technology Team Foundation Chairman Haluk Bayraktar was also present. Before the races with the youth sohbet President Büyükakın also signed the bodywork of a vehicle designed by students. Stating that he considers it very valuable for young people to focus on autonomy, one of the important technological fields of the future, Mayor Büyükakın said, “Of course, autonomous is the technology of the future.
