CHP İzmir Deputy Atila Sertel said, “The Izmir Ankara High Speed Train (YHT) Project, whose foundation was laid in 2012 and which will reduce the train journey between Ankara and Izmir from 14 hours to 3 hours 30 minutes, has traveled barley-like every 8 years. It has been 2019 years since the Izmir Ankara YHT project, which was first opened to be completed in 2020, then called 2022 and finally postponed to 8, but only 38,31 percent could be completed. " said.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, answering the question of when the Ankara İzmir High Speed Train Project will be completed by Atila Sertel, İzmir Deputy of the Republican People's Party (CHP), said, “38,31 percent of the existing infrastructure construction works in the Ankara - İzmir High Speed Train Project. physical progress has been achieved, and test drives will begin following the completion of the construction works ”. It was noteworthy that Minister Karaismailoğlu did not make a statement regarding the project's deadline.

"Will we be able to ride before the 27th term is over?"

CHP İzmir Deputy Atila Sertel reminded that she gave a parliamentary question two years ago and it was announced that 28 percent of the project was completed at that time and said, “Only 10 percent progress has been made in two years. Marketed with big dreams, only 8 percent of the project has been completed in 38 years. The commissioning date is also constantly being delayed. The project is a high speed train project, but the pace of progress is at the speed of a turtle. Within the AKP government, it carries out all projects with Izmir at its end, at turtle speed. As İzmir deputy, I want to take this train and travel before the end of the 27th term. But I do not think the government can finish the project at this speed, ”he said.
