Izmir Metropolitan Municipality made special arrangements for public transportation due to the 4th Izmir International Fair to be opened on Friday, September 89. Some bus lines, subway and tramway trips were added at night. In İZBAN, which is operated by TCDD-Metropolitan partnership, measures were taken against possible night intensity.
Izmir International Fair, which will be held for the 89th time this year, will remain open for only five days due to pandemic conditions. With the intense measures taken against the epidemic, the fair, which will open on Friday, September 4, will close on Tuesday, September 8. The fair, which will be held with the theme of "Mediterranean", will host many organizations from culture and arts to entertainment, from economy to social events. Fever measurements will be made for visitors at the entrance gates; Maximum compliance with mask and social distance rules will be ensured. A maximum of 40 thousand people can be found at the same time in Kültürpark.
Precautions were taken for fair visitors to benefit from public transportation after their exits at night. ESHOT General Directorate strengthened the lines departing from Konak Bahribaba Transfer Center and the transfer centers connected to Metro, Tram and İZBAN with additional bus services. In some lines, in connection with the rail system, the voyage time has been extended until 02.05. Motorized teams were assigned for coordination at important points around the fair such as Çankaya, Montreux, Lausanne and Basmane. Mansion and Karşıyaka The night trips on the trams and the subway were extended by one hour mutually. The last flights on all lines will depart at 01.20.
In İZBAN, which is operated by the partnership of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and TCDD, additional flights were made to Aliağa and Tepeköy directions. The last trains to go to Aliağa direction; It will take off from Hilal at 01.27, from Alsancak at 01.34 and from Halkapınar at 01.45. The last trains to go to Tepeköy will take off from Halkapınar at 01.45, from Alsancak at 01.53 and from Hilal at 01.57. There will be additional flights between Tepeköy and Selçuk at 00.45, and between Selçuk and Tepeköy at 00.15.
