Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, stated that they are planning to put the last part of the Ankara-Niğde Highway, which will open tomorrow, on 1 October.

Karaismailoğlu examined the main control center and the construction site of the Ankara-Niğde Highway, which will be put into service tomorrow, sections completed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Making a statement here, Karaismailoğlu said, “Tomorrow we will experience one of the most important days in the history of our country's highways. From Edirne to Şanlıurfa, we are completing the missing part of a highway axle of approximately 300 kilometers tomorrow. We will put the 1st and 3rd sections of the Ankara-Niğde Motorway into service tomorrow. The first section of the road consists of 119 kilometers, and the third section consists of 3 kilometers. We plan to put the last remaining part into service on October 59th. said.

"An extremely safe and comfortable way"

Karaismailoğlu, who stated that the main body of the road, which is 275 kilometers, reaches 330 kilometers with connection roads, said, “This road is a very important road from Edirne to Ankara and from there to Nevşehir, Kırşehir, Niğde, Aksaray, Mersin, Adana, Gaziantep and Şanlıurfa. will undertake the task. " he spoke.

Karaismailoğlu gave the following information about the main control center of the Ankara-Niğde Highway:

“This is a center equipped with the most advanced smart transportation systems in the world. Our 330-kilometer road has become a road that includes all the elements of intelligent transportation systems, from fiber optic lines, meteorological sensors, event detection sensors, variable message signs, and variable traffic signs. As a result of these efforts, an extremely safe and comfortable road has emerged.

"Construction period was shortened by 1 year with the BOT model"

Karaismailoğlu stated that with the opening of the Ankara-Niğde Motorway, the travel time will be shortened by 1 hour and 52 minutes and this time will provide very important gains in terms of fuel and time, and said, “This road will provide a total of 1 billion 600 million liras per year thanks to the fuel and time savings it provides. . However, it will provide a very significant reduction in carbon emissions. I hope that tomorrow, we will put this road into service with the participation of our President and bring it together with our citizens. "

Noting that the production will be completed 1 year early, Karaismailoğlu said, “Our road was built with the build-operate-transfer (BOT) model. Of course, this has been an advantage for us to complete the job quickly and bring it to the economy. That's why it could be completed 1 year ago. I hope it will serve our citizens for many years.
