Works on Dudullu Bostancı Metro Line Started Again

IMM restarted the works on the Dudullu-Bostancı Metro line, which was stopped by the previous administration, after solving its financing problems. About 2 months ago, İmamoğlu, who restarted the stopped works, made observations at the Bostancı construction site of the line. Stating that they are planning to put the line into operation in 2021, İmamoğlu told reporters, “The Ministry is also building a metro line in the direction of the New Airport, and you here. Does it upset you that the two are separate? ”He gave the following answer to the question:“ New Istanbul Airport was not something that was in Istanbul's long-term master plans. When it came to the agenda of Istanbul as 'blast', it was not expected for the Metropolitan Municipality to solve this. At that time, the Ministry's involvement in this business was a right move. We applaud for such correct moves, for such correct things. It is not competition, on the contrary, we enjoy being brought to Istanbul together, we are proud. We applaud who did. "

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) started the construction of Dudullu-Bostancı metro line on February 26, 2016. Work came to a halt in March 2019. IMM President, who took office after the 23 June 2019 elections Ekrem İmamoğlu, gave priority to the issue of stopped metro lines and concentrated on finding financial resources. Work on the Dudullu-Bostancı metro line also resumed after the financial source was found. On July 10, 2020, a ceremony titled “Dudullu-Bostancı Metro Line Construction Works Begins Again” was held at the Kayışdağı Station construction site of the line. İmamoğlu restarted the works on the stopped line with the ceremony held.

"DELIVERED HERE AS A STOP LINE"
İmamoğlu made examinations in Dudullu-Bostancı Line and parking lot construction approximately 2 months later. To İmamoğlu during the inspection tour; Kadıköy Mayor Şerdil Dara Odabaşı, Maltepe Mayor Ali Kılıç, IMM Rail Systems Department Head Pelin Alpkökin and Metro A.Ş. General Manager Özgür Soy accompanied. Having received information from Alpkökin and Soy, İmamoğlu made his evaluations about the study tour in the station area. Emphasizing that the work on the line has accelerated considerably, İmamoğlu said:
“From the moment it opened, it is a strong line with the possibility of reaching 450-550 thousand passengers per day. Its meeting by sea and its intersection with industrial facilities in Dudullu and other lines, especially Marmaray, makes this line a very valuable position. In 2021, we want to implement this line. Here, we meet an intense agenda for this line, which we know will be very efficient both for our municipality and other external sources in terms of self-financing. We received it as a stopped line. We are pleased to make it effective. But what will make us happy is that we have completely finished this place. Besides, this is a transfer point. We have a 900-vehicle parking lot here and more than 2 thousand in Kozyatağı. This is also very precious points for our 'park-and-go' model. "

"WE WANT TO FINISH THE LINE WITH ALL OUR POWER"
Expressing that the line is also important at the connection point with maritime transportation, İmamoğlu said, “We will bring Istanbulites together with the sea, rail system and other public transportation elements at once, and make the traffic easier with a model. In these periods when public transportation, and even overtime, is reconsidered with the pandemic, we will create a city environment where 16 million Istanbul citizens and our dear guests and tourists will be comfortable by bringing in such relaxing activities as soon as possible. "We want to finish this line with all our strength and strength and bring it to Istanbulites."

"WE DESIRE THAT RAILED SITES HAVE SOME EXEMPTIONS"

İmamoğlu told reporters, “The Ministry is also building a metro line in the direction of New Airport, and you here. He gave the following answer to the question: “It is not only in Istanbul, but also in Ankara and elsewhere. There are also in Konya. There are lines that the Ministry also handles. There are lines made by the Ministry itself. When you look at the current level in big cities like us and at the tariff point, there is an obligation to be with the incentives and model of this business. Moreover, the New Istanbul Airport was obviously not something that was one of Istanbul's long-term master plans. When it came to the agenda of Istanbul as 'blast', it was not expected for the Metropolitan Municipality to solve this. At that time, the Ministry's involvement in this business was a right move. We applaud for such correct moves, for such correct things. On the contrary, we enjoy being brought to Istanbul together, not competition. We are proud. We applaud who did. Therefore, we applaud such moves by the Ministry. At first, the situation that worried and saddened us was the following: It is clear that starting some of the tenders before the Metropolitan Municipality before the resource problem is solved, the projects are clarified and the projects are not fully credited will cause blockages, especially in the rail system investments. In other words, it is very difficult to return these with the equity model. In other words, you can solve 10% or 15% of all your rail system investments with your own resources. Ministry, whose ministry? Our ministry. The ministry of the Republic of Turkey. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the Municipality of the Republic of Turkey. These are not competition; on the contrary, there must be models to applaud each other. We might want to applaud one more thing. We would like the most modern model to have certain exemptions, especially in terms of public transportation, such as rail systems. So the Ministry should work on this. I think the VAT we pay here and the taxes we pay here are a pity. This kind of thing is cruelty. With this kind of contribution, I think we can actually make much more serious investments. This exemption part is very valuable. It holds huge numbers. If we solve these, we can carry our investments and modern investments in this sense to stronger levels.

THERE WILL BE 4 STATIONS THAT WILL PASS FROM 13 DISTRICTS
