The Transportation Coordination Center (UKOM), which was established with the latest technological equipment within the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department, instantly intervenes in social distance and mask violations in public transportation vehicles.
PANDEMIC RULES ARE FOLLOWED INSTANTLY
In order to minimize the health and risks of the people of Kocaelis who use public transportation due to the pandemic process, the transportation vehicles are constantly checked by UKOM via in-vehicle cameras. While social distance and mask violations are intervened instantly in public transportation vehicles, all public transportation vehicles are remotely controlled by instantly alerting the driver when necessary.

In the center where a team of 7 people work with the principle of 23/18 supervision and follow-up, instant follow-up of 365 routes on 730 lines is made with certain peridots. 2 thousand 100 public buses and 336 Metropolitan Municipality buses connected to the cooperatives on the routes are monitored throughout the day. Working in coordination with 153 Call Center in line with complaints from citizens, UKOM constantly monitors vehicle working hours, route checks and stop entry and exit, and immediately intervenes in possible violations. When deemed necessary, a radio connection is provided with teams affiliated to the Supervisory Directorate working on the routes from the center, and necessary controls are provided.
ADMINISTRATIVE SANCTIONS APPLY TO THOSE WHO VIOLATE THE RULES
Within the scope of the regulations regarding the subjects of the citizens' victimization, public transportation vehicles, taxis, service owners and drivers who violate the rules determined by the public transport regulation, service vehicles regulation, commercial taxi regulation, in accordance with the laws no 1608 and 5326. administrative sanctions are applied.
