The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services extended the duration of the measures taken against the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) in official and private nursing homes and disabled care institutions until a second order.

Ministry, Turkey taking into account the increase in the number of cases in general, the measures in the process of struggling with disabilities and elderly care institutions Kovid-19 decided to maintain effective manner.

In this context, a circular was sent by the General Directorate of Disabled and Elderly Services to the provincial directorates regarding the methods to be followed in the intervention of health problems that may arise due to Kovid-19, the measures to be taken and the continuation of some previous measures.

According to the circular requesting the precautionary implementation of the measures, the nearest health unit, institution or health delegation in official and private nursing homes and disabled care institutions for people with health problems or discomfort, and the health team's guidance, suggestions and opinions, continue to take measures and take action. will be.

Disabled and elderly people with Kovid-19 or symptoms will be transferred to the hospital. Care and follow-up of the disabled and the elderly who need to be followed up by the healthcare team, who are given the decision to be "discharged" by the health institution, and in accordance with the social isolation and restriction measures, will be carried out in a separate institution or in an additional unit of the establishment. People in this situation will be followed in the social isolation block, social isolation floor or social isolation room determined in the establishment, if there is no additional unit.

Kovid-19 Test Will Be Performed For Elderly and Disabled People Returning From Leave

On the other hand, the Ministry decided to continue some practices in institutions within the scope of normalization steps, by taking the necessary measures. In this context, citizens with disabilities and elderly care institutions will be allowed to go to their relatives for at least 7 days. Every person returning from leave will be taken to the Kovid-19 test before entering the organization, as before. In addition, disabled and elderly people will stay in the social isolation floor or social isolation room in the establishment for 7 days on their return.

The Ministry will continue the fixed shift practice of the personnel working in the organizations for at least 7 days until a second announcement.
