Adil Karaismailoğlu, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, visited the Bor terminal junction, the Niğde-Kayseri highway, Ata Sanayi pass, and the Tepeköy-Çiftlik road that is under construction, and received information about the works. Karaismailoğlu stated that Konya-Karaman high speed train line is planned to open at the end of the year.

Speaking to journalists after their visit, Karaismailoğlu said that they will complete the work on ongoing projects in Niğde as soon as possible and put them into the service of the citizens.

Reminding that they opened the 1st and 3rd sections of the Ankara-Niğde Highway with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister Karaismailoğlu continued as follows:

It was one of the most important projects in the history of the highway. We have completed a 330-kilometer axle. We have completed the 1230-kilometer Ankara-Niğde stage of the 330-kilometer highway axis stretching from Edirne to Urfa. Hopefully, we will activate the remaining 29 sections of this highway as 2 kilometers on 150 October. Again, there are important investments we have made for Niğde, especially in the railway axis. We continue to work on underpasses, overpasses and pedestrian crossings in order to increase the living standards of our citizens in the city. Work continues on our high-speed train lines in Konya-Karaman-Ulukışla, Aksaray-Ulukışla-Yenice. Hopefully, we are planning to put Konya-Karaman into operation at the end of this year, to tender the Karaman-Ulukışla side next year and the Aksaray-Ulukışla-Yenice part in the coming days. "
