Two train drivers, Mahmut Kaya and Mehmet Ulutaş, died in the accident that occurred as a result of the collision of two freight trains in Kemerköprü District of Battalgazi District of Malatya. The check was handed over to the heirs of Mehmet Ulutaş, one of the deceased machinists, by the Deputy Chairman of the Foundation Yalçın Atak, Board members İbrahim Uslu and Gürdal Öz.

In addition, 7.250 TL active death aid provided by the Foundation for members who died while on duty was transferred to the accounts of the heirs. The remaining TL 5.362,49 of the loan that the member borrowed from the Foundation was also deleted within the scope of the life insurance with credits made by the members. Thus, a total of TL 162.612,49 was paid to the stakeholders of the late member Mehmet Ulutaş through the foundation channel.

However, as a requirement of our social responsibility, we believe that the payment we make by the Foundation will at least make an economic contribution to our members' spouses and children who are left behind.

I wish that our other machinist friend, Mahmut Kaya, who died in the accident, was also a member of the foundation and we could contribute to his family in the same way. Since there is no provision in our Foundation Deed such as providing assistance or providing services other than members, we did not have the opportunity to realize this.
