The Ataköy-İkitelli Metro Line, which is under construction, is being integrated into the existing Yenikapı - Atatürk Airport Metro and Yenibosna Station. Due to the construction works of the transfer station, the metro services on the M11A Yenikapı-Atatürk Airport Metro Line will be between Yenikapı - Ataköy / Şirinevler for a while since September 1. Buses will serve to Ataköy-Şirinevler, Yenibosna, World Trade Center and Atatürk Airport stops.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) continues the works of the Ataköy-İkitelli Metro Line, the first phase of which will be opened in 2021. The works to integrate the under construction subway at the existing M1A Yenikapı - Atatürk Airport Metro and Yenibosna Station will begin on Friday, September 11, 2020.
Within the scope of the study, an underground pedestrian road connection will be built to Yenibosna Station of the existing M1A Yenikapı - Atatürk Airport Metro. When the integration works are completed, comfortable and fast transfer will be provided between M1A Yenikapı-Atatürk Airport and M9 Ataköy-İkitelli lines. There will be uninterrupted transportation between Yenikapı and İkitelli region with a single transfer by rail system.
In the construction process of the project, which is expected to last about 14 months; Yenibosna, World Trade Center and Atatürk Airport stations will be closed. Passengers who want to continue in the direction of Atatürk Airport will be able to use the IETT buses at the exit of Ataköy / Şirinevler station free of charge. Shuttle bus operation will serve the stops of Ataköy-Şirinevler, Yenibosna, World Trade Center and Atatürk Airport.
ABOUT M9 ATAKÖY-İKİTELLİ METRO LINE
When the 2021 kilometer line consisting of 12 stations, which is planned to be partially opened in 13,4, is completed; It will reduce the distance between Ataköy and İkitelli to 19,5 minutes and will have a capacity of 35 thousand passengers per hour in one direction.
Line; At İkitelli Industrial Station Bakırköy-Kirazlı - Başakşehir Metro at Mehmet Akif Station Kabataş - Mecidiyeköy - Mahmutbey - Esenyurt Metro, Kirazlı at Mimar Sinan Station - Halkalı The metro will be integrated with Yenikapı - Atatürk Airport Metro at Yenibosna Station and with Marmaray at Ataköy station.
