Kazakhstan Prime Minister Askar Mamin visited the defense industry organization Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering (KAE), which manufactures medical respirators during the pandemic, at its site in Kazakhstan. President Mamin learned about the production and ordered the products to be delivered to medical institutions in the country on time.

The breathing apparatus in question is designed for long-term ventilation of the lungs of adults and children in intensive care units in hospitals. The respirator, which meets the requirements of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, has been successfully tested at the Multidisciplinary Infection Center in Nur-Sultan, with the positive opinions of the experts.

50% and Above is Targeted

The current industrial assembly of respirators is carried out with a localization rate of up to 50% - with the target of reaching 30% and above. Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering company has modern technological equipment in the production of electronic, radio-electronic and optical devices along with the high competence of engineering and technical personnel. KAE aims to increase the rate of indigenization in the production cycle thanks to what they have. Along with the KAE, the technological potential of other defense companies of the Republic of Kazakhstan also plays a role in respirator production.

According to the information provided, the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan is planning to deliver approximately 2020 units of respirators to health institutions in all regions of the country in September and October 1.500.

7/24 Technical Support

It was stated that the engineering and technical personnel of the enterprise will provide training and 7/24 technical support to healthcare workers in health institutions, in addition to the installation of respirators. It is stated that the company provides the devices with a 3-year warranty period.

Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov and Minister of Health Alexey Tsoy took part in the inspection of the Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering LLP production site.
