The educational assistance of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to university students continues in the new academic year. Last year, 30 thousand students benefited from the service provided to contribute to the education life of young people in need. This year, it is planned to make 30 TL annually to each of the 3 students.
WHAT ARE THE ASSESSMENT CRITERIA?
Education aid applications start on September 15, 2020. The process of aids to be made in line with the transparency principle of IMM works according to the "Education Aid Evaluation Criteria". According to these criteria; Parental death / divorce status, student's disability, family disability status, number of family members, number of students in the family and family income are taken as a basis.
While maintaining the equality balance for female and male students, students whose families or their families live in Istanbul benefit from the educational aid. The aid is given to students who continue their university education at a public school or are studying at a private school with 100% scholarship.
HOW TO APPLY?
Applications for IMM's educational aid were made over the internet last year, and documents were delivered face to face. Due to the pandemic process this year, both applications will be made over the internet and documents will be delivered online. University students will visit gencuniversiteli.ibb.istanbul, fill out the form, prepare the requested documents and submit them again at the same address.
Application conditions are; Being a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, the student or his / her family residing in Istanbul; In the event of the death of the parents, the relative residing in Istanbul, being an associate or undergraduate student, continuing his education within the normal education period, being a student at a state university or being a 100% scholarship student at a foundation / private university, intermediate and senior year students the end of year achievement grade must be at least 53 out of 4 or 2,00 out of XNUMX, need financial support in terms of income.
WHICH DOCUMENTS WILL BE DELIVERED?
The documents required for IMM education aid are as follows;
- Transcript showing student certificate and grade status.
- Photocopy of the identity card.
- Criminal record / Document showing that there is no disciplinary penalty.
- Documents showing the financial situation of the family (income certificate, payroll etc.)
- Documents showing siblings studying, if any (Only active siblings will be taken into account. Siblings who freeze registration or study at the Open Education Faculty are not considered students.)
- Photocopy of the disability report, if any, of him or his family members.
- Certificate of residence for the student and his family.
- Document containing student's bank account information.
The whole process will be carried out in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK).
WHO CANNOT APPLY?
Students studying at the Open Education Faculty, those who receive education at the Open Education Faculty, those who are over the age of 25, those who are over the age of XNUMX, who are disciplined for a disgraceful act while studying, those who have been convicted of a disgraceful reason, graduate and doctoral students cannot apply.
