İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which has put a total of 10 new and domestic buses into service in the last 83 months, has purchased a total of 170 buses, 134 of which are solo buses and 304 are articulated. Signatures were signed for new buses today at the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Stand at the 89th Izmir International Fair. Accordingly, President Soyer stated that they aim to rejuvenate the fleet whose average age is rising, aging, breakdown and depreciation costs are rising, and to offer more safe and comfortable public transportation to Izmir residents, and continued as follows: “With this purchase, We signed. We won while buying, so to speak. We will pay 2020 million TL in total. We will give this in five years, not in advance. In addition, Otokar General Directorate will provide after-sales services such as repair and maintenance free of charge for five years in accordance with the contract. Soyer added that they spend the money of Izmir for the people of Izmir and they take maximum care to use the resources generated by the people's taxes without wasting even a penny.

In nine months it will all come
Buses included in the fleet of the ESHOT General Directorate will be delivered step by step. The first batch will arrive in three months. Until June 2021, all of them will start to serve Izmir residents. In addition to their modern designs, the vehicles have many features in terms of safety and comfort. In buses, which are state-of-the-art, suitable for disabled access, air-conditioned, meeting Euro 6 exhaust emission standards; There are many features such as passenger information screens and announcement system, phone and tablet charging points, floor and ceiling heat insulation, tilting to the right at the stops and driver's safety cabin. In addition, the fleet tracking system, which is fabricated on the vehicles, will be compatible with ESHOT's fleet tracking system and IZUM. Thus, planning of public transportation will be made much easier and more efficient.
