The TÜBİTAK Centers of Excellence Opening Ceremony was held at the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) in Gebze. CONTRIBUTION TO PRODUCTION IN TURKEY

Our National Energetic Materials Laboratory will contribute to the production of materials used in military ammunition and having problems in procuring from abroad.

SUPER ALLOY PRODUCTION

Production, repair and maintenance of super-alloy materials will be carried out in the High Temperature Materials Center of Excellence.

TESTS FROM ONE

We will conduct the tests conducted abroad at the Biomaterials, Biomechanics, Bioelectronics 3D Center of Excellence from a single source, and we will also develop biotech-based materials and systems.

LARGE BUDGET ENGINE DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY

At the Motor Excellence Center; Railway, marine, generator and engines suitable for special use can be tested domestically. In this way, both our companies will be saved from giving money to laboratories abroad; and large-budget engine development projects will be held in our country.

CALIBRATION MEASUREMENT

In our Photovoltaic Performance and Safety Test Center, calibrations and test measurements of devices used in solar energy applications will be carried out. Thus, we will provide time and cost advantages to our domestic producers.

NATIONAL AMMUNITION SOFTWARE AND SIMULATION

Thanks to TÜBİTAK SAGE Environmental Test Center; All environmental tests, especially weapon system projects, will be carried out in our country at international standards. Again, with the new R&D Service Building we established within SAGE; Strategic studies will be carried out in the fields of design, software and simulation of national ammunition.

SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL

Thanks to these laboratories, we are making TÜBİTAK, the country's 57-year-old plane tree, a more holistic and complementary function. I want to give good news to our talented children who are interested in scientific research. VACCINE AND PHARMACEUTICAL PROJECTS

We have made significant progress in our vaccine and drug development projects against COVID-19 in cooperation with the private sector, university and government. Among the countries that develop indigenous vaccines in the World Health Organization's list, we rank third after the USA and China. Created under the leadership of Turkey TUBITAK-19 Platform Covidien, 8 different vaccines and drugs running 10 different projects.

ANIMAL EXPERIMENTS ARE COMPLETED BELOW

In our vaccination studies, two vaccine candidates have successfully completed animal experiments. One of them even got the approval of the Ethics Committee and came to the clinical study phase on humans. Following the approval of Turkey Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency hopefully we will launch these studies rapidly.

GREAT EXPERIMENT LABORATORY

We provide the necessary support to both our scientists who carry out vaccine and drug studies and to our organizations that take responsibility in this process. For this purpose, we are establishing an advanced center, including a large laboratory animal laboratory, at TÜBİTAK's Gebze Campus, which enables end-to-end vaccine and drug development.

This fin is the component with the highest added value used in the engine of our national general purpose helicopter Gökbey. Without this part, planes or helicopters cannot take off. We are one of the 5 countries in the world with this capability. We have already delivered 160 units to TEI.

LASER SEARCH HEAD

This tiny square is the laser seeker head detector of smart bombs used by SİHAs. Thanks to this seeker, bombs can shoot point shots. This detector we developed at BİLGEM is one of the critical components of our defense industry. We are able to produce this detector much better quality and cheaper than its foreign counterparts.

FIRST KIT IN THE WORLD

We developed and patented the Salmonella Rapid Diagnostic Kit for the first time in the world. This bacterium, which is transmitted from dirty water and food, is extremely harmful to public health. This kit we have developed gives results much faster than existing diagnostic kits in the market. China applied to us, it wants to buy this product with technology transfer from our country.
