The number of China-Europe freight trains traded in the Korgas logistics center of the Xinjiang Autonomous Uygur Region broke a record in July. The local customs office announced that this number ranks first among other terminals of the country in the month in question.

During the past month, Korgas logistics center welcomed 495 freight trains running between China and Europe. The base has allocated a special section for services for freight trains. In this way, an increase in efficiency of 60 percent was achieved in customs procedures. In the first 7 months of the year, the number of China-Europe train services entering and leaving from the Korgas border gate increased by 22,62 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, and the amount of goods transportation increased by 2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, 217 million 33,77 thousand.
