Unye Pier, renewed with the touches of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, offers a visual feast at night with its lighting. The majority of those who visit the pier are citizens who come to take pictures.
Maintenance, repair, renovation and lighting works have been completed in Ünye Pier, which is one of the showcase and symbol places of Unye district of Ordu. While the banisters on the pier were redesigned by the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Department of Parks and Green Areas, the lighting and broken ground stones were also improved. Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler said that Ünye welcomes more than 500 thousand visitors during the summer season and the pier is one of the most vibrant spots in the city.
QUALIFIED AS THE SHOWCASE OF THE UNIQUE
Stating that they are carrying out important works on infrastructure, road and superstructure in Ünye district, which is one of the most important tourism centers of the region, Mayor Güler said, “We redesigned our Ünye pier, which is one of the attraction centers of the district, in a way that suits our district. The pier, which was the showcase of the district, was no longer able to meet the needs. The railings were rusted, the floor was full of broken stones. We renewed all of them with a good project. In addition, we transformed the pier to a new lighting, where there are light shows at night and used extensively by citizens to take pictures. "Good luck to this place, which we have turned into a place worthy of our Ünye."
