Knorr-Bremse London Piccadilly Metro Vehicle Door Supply Works

Knorr-Bremse signed a contract with Siemens Mobility for the supply of vehicle doors for 94 trains for the London Underground. The contract consists of 2024 gate drivers and 94 gate exits for Siemens Inspiro subway trains with 3.760 nine wagons, which will be put into service on the London Piccadilly line of the United Kingdom from 7144.

IFE, a subsidiary of Knorr-Bremse, won its largest contract in its history. From mid-2021, it will deliver door systems for London's Piccadilly line. In total, IFE will deliver 3,760 door systems. The contract also includes options for 2030 door systems for an additional 216 Trains on other metro lines by 9000.
