İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer announced that after his meeting with Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan in Ankara, İzmir International Fair will be opened between 9-13 September in Kültürpark in accordance with pandemic rules.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer had a critical meeting with Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan in Ankara, due to the cancellation of all fair organizations until September 1, and afterwards, it was not clear how to follow. Chairman Soyer announced after the meeting that the 89th Izmir International Fair will be held between 9-13 September as planned. Stating that Minister Pekcan gave the good news that a fair could be held in closed areas as of September 1, President Soyer stated that the question marks on the IEF were removed. President Soyer said, “The IEF could not be held in 1942 only because of World War II. In that year, Kültürpark festivals were organized between 2 August and 20 September. Due to the danger of epidemic, this year the fair will open its doors on September 20 in Kültürpark, with health measures. With the necessary regulations and rules, IEF will continue to contribute to the Izmir economy. We are starting the Mediterranean theme with limited activities this year, the Mediterranean theme will continue for IEF next year. 9 2021. International Izmir business days
Izmir Business Days before IEF on September 9 will be held as an online summit on 3-4 September due to the pandemic.
